In this episode, we visit Jacksonville, Oregon. Our first stop is a well-known family-owned bed & breakfast. From there we go right down the street to meet another hard-working restaurant family, and after that we drive deep into the beautiful Applegate Valley to meet another family that grows all the flowers for their shop downtown.

Family is important at Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine, and the feeling extends even to the customers. Their motto “Nuestra casa es su casa” means “Our house is your house.”  The restaurant has a homey feel, with an abundance of lush potted plants draped across the shelves and cornices, and Central American jungle motif art splashing spectacular color on the mural painted walls.
